What Do I Invest In? There are many different investment opportunities, such as buying stocks on the exchange or participating in IPOs, investing in bonds or mutual funds, purchasing real estate and participating in development projects, creating your own business, investing in private companies and startups, acquiring art, jewelry, or crypto assets, and much more. Among all these options, I primarily prefer investing in the creation and development of my own businesses in various sectors of the economy, as well as buying shares of strong companies with a long-term holding strategy.
When it comes to my investments in the real economy, I prefer to allocate capital to my own business projects. This means creating small companies that should grow and generate profit over time. These businesses could be based on my own ideas that I want to test, or they could be existing startups with a product and a team that require funding. My investment strategy involves relatively small capital allocations into my own businesses and external startups, typically ranging from $50,000 to $1 million per project. It is easy to see that this is one of the most aggressive and high-risk investment strategies, but it also has the potential to deliver the highest returns on capital.
Additionally, I invest in shares of large publicly traded companies with a long-term perspective. For me, this is a moderate investment strategy primarily aimed at beating inflation and outperforming overall market growth, such as the S&P 500 index.

Investing in real estate is one of the best ways to preserve capital and, in some cases, significantly increase it. In strong market years, real estate values can grow by dozens of percentage points annually. If purchased using leveraged financing, the effect of leverage can multiply returns even further. For me, real estate is a separate line of business that I have been involved in for almost 20 years. I started as a commercial real estate broker while combining this activity with trading. Today, my real estate and development company operates in dozens of countries across both developed and emerging markets.
I see cryptocurrencies as an excellent speculative instrument but not a long-term investment due to their high volatility and several other factors. In my opinion, crypto is great for trading but not for holding as a long-term investment.
Investing in art can be highly profitable — if you truly understand the market.
